Just Cut is instrumental in making local produce accessible in K-12 schools, colleges, hospitals, and co-op kitchens. With over a decade of production experience, Just Cut supports buyers who value local food, and appreciate the ease of lightly processed local produce. Just Cut brings a new market to regional farms by providing crop planning, forward contracts, and guaranteed high volume sales at fair market prices.
For Farmers
We contract with farmers at a mutually agreed price in advance of the growing season, so farmers have a guaranteed sale before planting.

Partnering with Just Cut, a program of the Center for an Agricultural Economy, has been a staple for Sodexo's Vermont First program. Their locally grown prepped produce provides our accounts with a high-quality product that saves on labor and allows us to live out our values by supporting local farmers. In 2025, we purchased over 80,000 pounds of Just Cut produce for the University of Vermont, Norwich University, Champlain College and St. Michael's College's kitchens.
